To celebrate Cohiba's 40-year milestone, a special-edition cigar was created, showcasing a one-of-a-kind Behike size that combines the length of a Lancero with the ring gauge of a Siglo VI, measuring 7 1/2 inches by 52. Masterfully crafted by Norma Fernández Sastre at Havana's El Laguito factory, these cigars utilize a rich blend of mature Cuban tobaccos sourced from the esteemed Vuelta Abajo region. As the Behike is lit, it unfolds into a full-bodied experience, offering deep flavors of tobacco, cedar, and minerals. The cigar's construction is outstanding, boasting a smooth, even burn and a pleasant aroma that elevates the overall pleasure. Although the flavors may be somewhat unrefined due to its relatively recent production, it's likely that aging will enhance its intricacy. The Behike 40 Aniversario is presented in exquisite humidors designed by Elie Bleu, featuring luxurious materials such as ebony, bone, and skate skin. Each humidor is limited to 40 individually numbered cigars, with a total production of just 100 humidors, rendering this release an exceptionally rare and coveted treasure among cigar connoisseurs.
