Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Mi Dominicana is a lesser-known puro that has been gaining traction in the American market. Conceived by José Seijas, the mastermind behind the Tabacalera de Garcia Ltd. factory in La Romana, this cigar boasts an impressive pedigree. As a subsidiary of Altadis U.S.A. Inc., a behemoth in the cigar industry, the factory churns out millions of cigars annually, including renowned brands such as Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann, and Montecristo. Mi Dominicana, however, remains a relatively low-key brand with limited production. Visually, the cigars exude a dark, oily appearance, and upon smoking, they reveal a rich flavor profile characterized by pronounced nutty notes, coffee bean undertones, a hint of pepper, and a satisfying, lingering finish.
