The Undercrown cigar, introduced by Drew Estate in 2011, was initially conceived as a more accessible alternative to the highly sought-after Liga Privada cigars. According to the lore surrounding its creation, the factory's rollers, who were fond of smoking Liga Privadas, were instructed to cease depleting the inventory, prompting them to craft a blend for their own enjoyment. This blend eventually became the Undercrown, which was later released to the market. Although often compared to its more expensive counterpart, the Liga Privada, the Undercrown has established its own identity over time. The Churchill-sized Undercrown is characterized by a robust oak and leather flavor profile, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and a finish that echoes the richness of roasted coffee beans.
